Pac's final work was produced mainly by Tyrone "Hurt em Badd" Wrice and Darryl "Big D" Harper. Approximately 20 songs were put to tape at Los Angeles Can-Am studios, 11 of which made the finished product. The recording sessions that yielded 2pac's last album took place over 7 hennessy soaked days in Aug 1996 While the rapper was concurrently filming two movies (Gridlock'd and Gang Related). This album featured 2Pac on a cross which played an important part to the proliferation of faked death theories. He started once again to return to his commentary on social and political issues.
Makaveli is a very dark and intense album containing 2Pac's most passionate and poetic works.
One of the most well known songs on this album, 'Hail Mary' was recorded in only 30 minutes. The entire album including production took 7 days. For some reason, 2Pac later changed the title. The vocals for this album were recorded in just 3 days and it was originally entitled the 3day theory. However, it is unlikely all of the other posthumuous releases because the production was finished by 2Pac himself and he was promoting it before he was shot and killed. The 7day Theory - Released under an alias: "Makaveli the don killuminati", the first album to be released after 2Pac's death.
